Week One Homework

This video gives a brief description about the different types of shots used by directors. It explains that the camera is a "toolbox filled with different tricks and techniques" that we can use to help evoke emotion and create meaning. Each shot has a different motive for example, a wide shot is used to provide the audience with context and show the character in their environment.

The second video talks about how companies, individual creators and industries encode messages through symbols and techniques that the audience decodes through interpretation. This video goes deeper into detail about the different camera angles, movements, shots and audio visual texts (technical codes)
